I came up with the concept of the Moai-Men at the same time that I came up with Esther. They were originally intended to be her army of minions supposedly inherited from her father after he went missing. The original concept though had them being somewhat mindless and limited to what they could do mentally, but still physically a force to be reckoned with. The current versions presented here has modified the concept somewhat so that they are no longer just brainless slaves, but that they are still bound to the staff that Peter has, and by extension Esther being that she is a blood relative even though she doesn't actually have the staff, in that it's in their programming to obey in such a manner. It is assumed that they are some kind of golems that are attached to the spacecraft that Peter and Esther have come to call home, and whom the Cottontails have also befriended and now have a very close relationship with despite them basically being living constructs created by technology from the ship and more or less commanded with the owner of the control staff and anyone related to them. Therefore, their only known place of origin is that of the ship itself, but since the original place of origin of the ship itself is a mystery, it cannot be fully ascertained where their true planet of origin is. So, for lack of knowledge, although they are clearly not from Earth, the only place we can say that they are from is Easter Island in Chile, South America, on Earth. And, unlike their masters, they never seem to have a desire to go anywhere else, and just seem content to remain on the island, or within the confines of their ship. There is nothing that says that they can't leave the area due to some sort of limited range to remain functional, since they are more than just robotic constructs, and are indeed living individuals, like some kind of clone army, but it just doesn't seem to be in their nature to want to really travel on their own unless accompanied by Peter or Esther, and even that is a rare occurrence, since despite being able to form advanced intelligence and the capacity to learn a lot, they just seem more concerned with doing their intended work than anything else that removes them from their jobs for any extended period of time.
