Description
Further to my last post, there is a statue in the King George V Memorial Garden.
According to the same board I got the information about the garden from, the statue is of 'Rufus Daniel Isaacs (1860-1935), first Marquess of Reading, Attorney General, Lord Chief Justice, diplomat and Viceroy of India. It was carved by Charles Sargeant Jagger (one of Britain’s leading war memorial sculptors), and set up in New Delhi. In the late 1960’s it was moved to Reading and unveiled in the gardens in 1971.'
