Description
Captured back on 5/23/09, early in the AM, somewhere within walking distance of my hallowed haunt.
Better viewed full size.
I think this may be a camellia because there were no thorns on the branches or stems.
Original on top, with the digifiddled smoothed and softened version below.
Cheerybye, thankx for the peek, and for any and all complimentary comments and favs.

So delicate and very pretty my friend. :-) I am really looking forward to flowers this spring after all the snow we have had here...only about 14 or so inches left out there right now...lol
This is lovely, Harry, (but this is a rose probably called 'Eyepaint', I have one myself.)
On the bottom photo, the heart of the flower is more beautiful, but conversely, the edges are more "flat" than the original picture.
Realy like the 2nd work. Sofness works so well for this lovely flower.
These are gorgeous, love to see the beautiful colors not much around here but brown, excellent work!
I hate to admit it, but after checking out the "Eye paint" rose on Google, it looks like Andrea is correct and that this indeed is a rose, of the floribunda variety. She's the experienced master gardener and I'm sure ain't no floral expert.
I too think it may be a rose as some don't have thorns. It is a wonderful capture of this bright bloom and it really catches my eye. The smoothed version looks great too.
A beauty either way. I probably would have bet that all roses have thorns...AND lost! I too like the smoothed version most.
I like the original better on this one. It's a stunner!
Wow, an explosion of colour! Beautiful work, Harry!
Glorious!!
This one really is beautiful Harry, and I love your variation on it also
Dear friend Harry Beautiful Camelias & effects too!!!!
No matter what you call it, it's beautiful. I can't decided which I like best!!
Beauty!!
Both are beautiful Harry. Well done! BUT if I had to pick just one - it would have to be the digifiddled, smoothed and softened version. :>) Dana
