Description
Captured 7/31/10, at the American Civil War Reenactment, held at the vast and beautiful El Dorado Park in beautiful Long Beach, California.
Much better viewed full size.
I can't believe that soldiers would just stand around out in the open discussing matters during the heat of battle. Must be a code of ethics between the two sides. Time out!

good illustration of a tragic time of war ... the loss of composure ... the assassination of an enemy!
Like the 4th one. Is that guy realy looking at his fallen commrade or just had enough of the game...sorry. Still an entertaining series Harry.
It looks like they are shooting ducks in the third shot. I don't understand them standing around during battle either...nevertheless, I imagine this was one entertaining afternoon watching this battle of the North and South. Excellent series, Harry.
These are some really fantastic capture Harry, always enjoy my visits to your gallery
I really like #2 and the pano wide angle capture. Brings wonderful perspective to this entire series. Dana
They do seem a bit more calm than I imagine they would be in a real battle; maybe they're trying to remember which part comes next? Excellent series of shots, Harry!
Dear friend Harry Fantastic series & capture i like # 4 lol !!!!!!!!!!!! o_O
Fun shots all...these guys all know they are going to go home for supper. Can only take realism so far:) Good collage Harry.
Tme out is right...what gives? Great shots Harry!
Very nice, though somehow I have never quite imagined palm trees in the background of civil war battles. :) I like the soldier in the bottom frame he looks like he has it all under control.
