Description
We headed out towards the shoreline to get to the area where the lava was entering the ocean. It was about a mile walk. Some of the areas we walked on was the bench formed in July. It is still fragile, full of cracks and not stable. It's a little risky but it wasn't hot. What was once water is now land. Here in this image is the newest forming bench where lava meets the sea. Oh wow zooming is a must on this. I've watched videos of it under the water and still molten hot. It's incredible to me that something could be so hot.

So this is the secret rondezvous spot for the knowledgable, hope you weren't followed. :) Like the difference in textures. From the smoother air cooled higher ground to the explosive looking water cooled surfaces! A fine image!
