Description
Captured in the very early morning on different days during the month of November, at various locations within walking distance of my humble habitat.
Check it out full size if you're so inclined.
I consider these among the creme de la creme of my leaf shots. My favorite is #1 because the shadow resembles a bird, possibly a falcon, flying at full speed. Pic #4 reminds me of grass shears.
This will do it for my November leaf pics, but not for the branch shadow stuff, which I still have to display. Got a lot more leaves on tap for December.
Shalom, thankx for dropping by, and for any and all complimentary comments and favs.

Top one is my fav....sooo neat. Love them Harry...we have 15 inches of snow here...no shadows:-(
a new exploit would get the same shade of several different objects ...
I love these! You can post as many as you like!
These are really great shadows and the third one looks like a plane to me. I like the falcon in one. An excellent collage.
nice ...
Yes, really excellent shadow-creatures! You need low angle sun to get great shadows like this, so you're in the right area for that. Wonderful captures and collage!
It's like a sidewalk dance!
Four more prizes...just waiting for you on your early morning walk. Nicely done.
You have developed a new art form Harry and a very nice one at that. The Rorschach of test in leaves. Dana
cool shots
These shadows almost give life to the dry leaves. Great series.
Great captures! ;o)
You are right about the first one, it looks like a soaring Falcon. 2 is a shoe, 3 is a boat, and 4 is a fallen star. That's my take on these neat shots.
yes, you captured recognizable forms in these shadows, and like denise said, you got them at just the right moment, when the shadows would be sharp and defined & take on the shapes we see. One has to have worked with shadows a lot to get the right hours & angles, and you've done both. All 3 of this series (all 3 uploads) have been beautiful, and we can see they're from different spots by the different grades & striations in the concrete. This is real 'theme' photography, and shows a real dedication. It's amazing that shot after shot---given that they're taken over many days---still have things in common, ie in sharpness of leaf, sharpness of shadow, and the quality of the light in all of them. And yes the first one resembles a falcon & the last a shears, but each of them has a very clear shape. Very fine work Harry. And fine photographic thinking---shooting leaves this way, over time. Theme stuff done to perfection.
Nice work, the bottom one reminds me of a starfish..
