Description
Not exactly the daring young man on the flying trapeze, but it'll do in a pinch.
Captured 10/24/10, at the 9th Annual Wings Wheels Rotors & Expo, held at the beautiful Joint Forces Training Base (JFTB) in beautiful Los Alamitos, California.
Better viewed full size.
Besides the music of the Los Alamitos High School band to entertain us at the event, we also had the likes of this macho macho fellow, risking life and limb in an attempt to draw the ooohs, ahhhs and applause from the small but appreciative crowd.
I usually have a frustrating time with action shots, but I think these came out pretty well.
Photo #2 is a cropped and enlarged view from #1.
Adieu, thankx for the peek, and for any and all complimentary comments and favs.

Wow, you got quite a series of shots of him in action, must have put on quite a show!
Better him than me risking life and limb like this; I don't really understand why they feel the need, but it is cool to watch. Amazing action shots, I could never have gotten anything so well!
Wonderful action shots of this very brave young man performing on concrete.
These are some fine action shots. Really beautiful skies in the background too.
you did a wonderful job on the action. i never ride a bike like that. may not ride one normal lol i be sore for sure. anyway this is wonderful
A sequence very interesting, different times of the exhibition ... at the beginning, visitors to the site are more interested in ice cream and other confections that will make them gain weight, and prevent them definitely make acrobatic bicycle , and then little by little, the public turns to the athlete who performs with great daring balancing complex figures ... until the arrival of the truck ... which makes the straw bales ... as if an accident would not have happened before! a funny note for me, well that concludes the series.
Good one Harry. Cool action collage. Like the 3rd a most.
Excellent pics, in your signature watercolour highkey tones.
Cool shots Harry.. Kinda like Team Extreme I was posting BUT with added SUN! lol These are great action shots.. Excellent work.. The hands off one most daring!! Rob
My 15 year old would be right into this Harry...GREAT shots of him getting "air" as they say....will have to try and remember to show him when he visits again...so few and far in between I forget sometimes...but I'll try.
I still have to catch up on people, including you!---but Harry, this demands my attention now. I love this series. You got wonderful gestures, postures and action, caught in mid-action like they posed for you. In the first shot, the cyclist is beautifully balanced, his wheels hugging the peak of one of those tents: Almost like it was posed. Nice fast thinking! Same on the second shot, only he's on his way down. In 3, you got some great captures of people looking on as if to say, "is this guy SERIOUS???" And a flag too, which is nice counterpoint. (Also it's nice to see how truly downward he's pointing, plunging into god-knows-what.) The next one shows the guy pedaling in air---a different trek? Then the next one: Man, is that cyclist balancing on that guy's shoulder? What a strange & amazing shot. And the final shot shows the guy showing off in mid-air with people really seeming to enjoy him. (Great ending shot.) Love this collection, good individual shots, and a fine sequence ending in mr. Showoff having a great time mid-air. Also it's fun to see all the stuff around, including hay. (Hay, right?) Or maybe that's lumber...but whatever it is, it's a great addition to the crowd. Love this montage.
Excellent action shots! Like all five. I have never seen these lads for real...only on TV.
I do not remember you pulling off a six pic collage before Harry. Nice work on this young dare devil. Super stop action in all six shots. Dana
Looks like he is about to lose his shorts.. LOL fun shots, I always wonder how they first learn to do those first tricks...
Cool shots! I see several folded arms which I interpret as, "Yeah, that's great, but there is no way under the sun that I'd ever do anything like that!" About the closest I'd come to it would be as the guy holding the bicycle for him to sail over, and that would be a stretch as my knees would baulk at getting on the platform. Speaking of platforms, it looks like he is performing on a different and harder one in the third shot. I like the first one with the wider view including the plane. I like the perspective of the third one and the activity going on with the announcer, the spectators, and the business being transacted in the background. I agree with Mark on the fifth one. Bizarre capture with him seeming to balance on the guys shoulder. Terrific capture of the no hands moment. 3, 5 and 6 are my favorites, (no way I can just pick one). They are all excellent!
