Description
Old pilings down at our local beach.
I saw faces in this ... two participants with rather prominent noses, discussing who-knows-what.
Made me think of Andrea ...

Probably talking about what they had in their trunks before being cut to size!!!! Lol. Lovely shot.
What a fabulous photo, Tara!! This has to be a favourite, magnificent in every way! I could join in this conversation quite easily.
Dreamy soft beauty; I love how the water has worn these down so smoothly!
Cool!
I definitely see the faces. Thanks for a Sunday morning smile.
Excellent capture and lighting Tara!

This is "postwork" of the truest sort:) Love it.
Original idea! Excellent work! :)
amazing shapes and textures, showing how nature takes slowly back all his belongings! RS
Great shot
i thought they might stumped for words...;)
Two Who-ha Henry's, toffee noses in the air... crusty old gents! Clive
OHHH WOW; so beautiful it is. Lovely soft surface they have. Looks awesome.
great capture Tara. You have an eye for things like this which most people would overlook!
love thetextures too...wonderful shot
Marvelous! Kinda surreal as I listen to the soundtrack to Inception while looking at these as inspiration for such artists as the Bekzynski guy who did creepy surrealism way over in Central Poland. In short, I'm having the time of my life with this picture. I love the textures and the overall alienness of it. The green is so deliciously lively and wonderfully rich. I also like the weathering effect, the smoothness, the shimmer of the water, and yes...the noses. I do wonder what they're talking about...the relative merits of cinnamon over nutmeg? Who knows? Great stuff though, and I suspect I'll spin a tale or two at some point in the future when I'm actually writing again and not trolling through my backlog.
I can just imagine the conversation... "Looks like another wet day today..." "Yes, it does. And I really need to go get a moss-cut. It's getting in my eyes." Beautifully captured, Tara! I love the light and texture - I can almost feel the cool, wet surfaces. This defines art - taking something as commonplace as an old post, and making it 'talk.' Brilliant.
very beautiful
nice shot
talkin about the weather, no doubt!! these are so beautiful, faces or not, they look soft and dreamy!!
Spirits of old sailors perhaps? Wonderful textures, color and lighting.
