Description
One more in this series I took in 2008 on our vacation to Funen. About time to post them, huh?
Have a beautiful weekend.
It is raining this morning, but it is very peaceful and I can see the roes playing on the currantfield. They dont care if it is raining. :)
Thank you so much for viewing and commenting on my previous post and special warm thanks go to those, who added it to their favorites. :)

That must be the 'bull in the pottery shop' I can see in the background!!! Lol. This is a nice shot of someones painstaking work.
LOL at Jeff! The makers of these would laugh if they knew how much trouble is taken to collect and restore them!
I have few years back had the honour to collect such a pot that size with glue and all. OH what a fun it was, SO exiting. It is like a 3D puzzle. Need I say I just luuved it?
i will not make any mention of crackpots.....;)
fantastic capture! thought the same about the bull as jayfar already said ;)
This is a wonderful pic Helle, I hope you have some more from this series to share.
Absolutely awesome shot Helle! These pots would make a great mask! I love this, has such a wonderful 'old' feel to it. Just wanted to say hi and let you know I haven't forgotten you. Alex is sending me PSP8 or 9 so maybe that will help with you helping me. Will be awhile tho as there are mass problems with my pc right now:-( Have also a photo I am sending you. Hope all is well with you and yours!
Great taste of old in this picture! Excellente photo !
They take on a great character when they are pieced back together. To think, how many were lost to grinding up to add to new clay. :) Excellent capture!
a very interesting picture, Helle! Wonderful shot!!!
Cool digs
Excellent shot and very interesting. Fantastic details.
They look as if they have been in our earthquake but it is amazing that they are still here at all really. An excellent capture.
I adore old pot shards and the history they hold. Spectacular capture.
I love Andrea's perspective on this. I suppose the original artists would be mystified at the idea that we would collect the fragments and put them back together. If someone a thousand years from now got together the shards of something I'd made, I would feel like ... "Well, it's a shame that was ruined, but I'll just make another one. Stop fussing with that and throw it out!" LOL! Still ... this is fascinating, and I'm glad they're finding the bits and reassembling them!
It is fun to muse about the original potters of these pieces. Liking your series.
love very much history and old pottery:) thank you!
What a collection and what a shot! I love this kind of stuff because...well...because! I once had dreams of becoming an archaeologist and being one of those people who puts broken pots back together: a bit like a temporal detective, reconstructing the past from things like...pots and more pots, and a few pots, just to keep things interesting. I love this shot and a glimpse back into the distant, distant past. This is a really well done shot! Archaeological photography really needs to become a far more popular art form. This is superb.
