Ishtar is whispering furiously in my ear now and has outlined this whole series. I am going to be very busy - hope to get in lots of posts.
Lots of work in the material room for textures and a ton of postwork to get the lighting, colors and textures yet again.
For Val for the perfect Enheduanna - Tara. She has been a long time coming, but you will see much of her now.
In the throne room of the conquered city of Lagash, Sargon faces a dilemma: to make a last stand against Ishtar or follow the advice of his daughter Enheduanna, high priestess of the all powerful Akkadian moon God Sin.
Come on Father, Ishtar has broken through the guards, she is at the door! I warned you against attacking the Sumerian temples; I warned you Ishtar would be enraged. You have created a real mess! Now she is here and we must flee.
I am not going anywhere. I will meet this Sumerian war Goddess face to face and strike her down. No one can stop Sargon!
Father don't be crazy! You may be the mightiest warrior on earth but even you are no match for the Goddess of War. You are mortal, you have no chance!
I would rather die fighting than retreat. I have not come this far to be beaten by a woman, Goddess or not. Besides, there is no escape from this room but through those doors. I am staying here!
No father, in the month that we have been at Lagash I have well explored these chambers. There is a secret passage from this room to the adjoining temple. We can still escape. You can regroup your forces and I will cast greater protection spells. We will once again strike at Sumer. But know this battle is hopeless. Come, let's go.
Humm, Enheduanna, you have never failed to give your father good council. You are wise ... for a woman. Perhaps I have been blinded by my hate for Ishtar and all she represents. Ok, I will take your advice....yes, this is not a retreat, it is but a regrouping of forces! Ok daughter, lead the way.

Fabulous render Roxy, love how you used those beautiful colors....great poses and lighting....excellent work love it.
Absolutely beautiful!
yep--u r the bonafide texture queen--just look at that detail--glorious! Methinks Sargon is gonna get his unmentionables handed to him even with is daughter's wise council--of course, you can't show that--lol...
What a magnificent trone room and what a magnificent body! With all that expensive things in the room it must have cost a fortune. The posing of the figures is anatomically correct as is the emotion in their faces and the story is really excellent. You don't mess with goods. Didn't his mother tell him that?
Wow girl your sure working hard on the textures and in these renders. Excellent work. Love the cat and the expression on it's face. I swear these renders are getting better and better.
Amazing, Roxy! You put so much detail into these images - the care and attention to details is very evident, as is your love of creating them. The writing ans storyline are top-notch as well! Bravo, my friend!
Just loving this, thanks Roxy and well done yet again! hugs Jane xx
Why order "Retreat!" when you can say "Advance to the rear!" LOL! Wonderful image and story, this is getting good...
Thise two are quite impressive characters. To bad they are on te wrong side :-) Well done!
excellent!!!!
Like all "great" men, Sargon created his own reality - and changed it at will. You have captured that brilliantly with your dialog Roxy. And you have added another layer of complexity by introducing Enheduanna. Bravo for that! I cannot wait to see what you do with her. My compliments also on the background details and their symbolism. I especially appreciated the skulls and the cat. Nicely done!
Brilliant work! this is just outstanding
So much talent...
