Description
Cocoon.
Nearly seventy five feet in length and just over thirty feet across NASAs Cocoon Cargo Carrier is a massive, multi-interior, multi-configurable cargo pod capable of lifting one or more payloads safely into space at the same time.
Lifted toward Earth orbit by NASAs new Hercules Super Booster, the four section cargo carrier is slingshot into orbit using an inertia method conceived by Robert Carter and perfected by NASA for lifting manned and un-manned craft into low Earth orbit where they will be picked-up for transfer to various orbital locations by NASAs Orbital Shuttle fleet, Atlantis, Discovery and Endeavour.
Author/Artists Notes
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mechmaster once again for agreeing to build the Cocoon computer model for me for the ABIS series from the rough series of designs I supplied - it came out just right.
