Description

A very large grasshopper we came across this weekend. My daughter named it Jeremy and they had some quality bonding time together.

A very armored creature...reminds me of some Japanese armor I've seen on display in a museum. Was he wearing a large curved sword by chance? Excellent macro...this is really close!!

This is spectacular! Bonding with a grasshopper, eh? That's a good thing! I remember similar bonding experiences as a kid. My mother didn't approve as such bonding usually involved bringing such creatures indoors. Humans are so territorial! Well...that was what I thought as a kid, anyway. As for this shot: WOW! It's simply marvelous, and the title is perfect as anything green causes green and not so green grasshoppers to have the same reaction. This is fantastic. I love it!

Stellar clarity and texture in this macro of the armor plated Jeremy, stoically munching his way through the succulent plants, apparently unaware that he is being photographed for worldwide viewing, Kort.
