The only one I do not recognize is " we do it all for you". Sad that thier brain washing is so effective! A great image!
Marvelous photo. I do remember Esso stations!
Sorry, there too much stress and dental problems, but I like to take the time to visit your work short. As always worth seeing and a masterpiece
A fine shot of this classic old-time vehicle.
Very nice - the Tiger-Slogan I know, they used them in Germany in the seventies too. I like the cars style - especially the nice little sppiderweb on the front.
Fantastic shot, I like very much the colors. I remember the "tiger" well, this slogan was also used to it here.
Excellent.
Nice vintage car :)
Just like last weekend in OZ @ the Winter Sun Festival, hot-rod shows must be the flavour of the month ! Great looking rides and I don't think I've ever seen a wooden roof rack before, very Fred Flintstone in design ! ~Cheers~
Nice Shot !! And we also had that ESSO Tiger here in Sweden, ESSO are now Statoil over here.
Excellent fun! I couldn't name all of them, but did know a large number. Yikes, what trivia stays in our minds. The slogan I remember most from growing up is, "Cities Service is CITGO now. Zoom, zoom, zoom, zoom, CITGO zoom!" My dad worked for Cities Service and in 1965 they changed their brand name to CITGO, with a lot of fanfare and a catchy tune. I seem to remember 'zoom' eyeglasses too. Great image and post! Glad you had fun!
Yes! I remember the Esso tiger. Indeed he's still part of the Esso brand up here in Canada - where the switch to Exxon never happened. And I remember that old gas can on top of the service truck. Many of those slogans really do ring a bell too. I used to be able to recite whole adds when I was a little fellow. Ah, commercialism.
Interesting image! :)
I know this dates me terribly, but I remember that commercial. ;c)
Outstanding capture and photo....
thats cool, remember me past times..
Wonderful post, and easy Quiz for some of us oldies! ;)
Like all old rods...but the slogans...mind popping:) Doing great out west!
This is an excellent!
