Description
One of my favorite Railroad Stations. Union Station in Kansas City.
I've photographed this before but this time I concentrated on a vertical change in my POV.
Bottom frame is taken from the ground level of the Liberty Memorial tower.
Top frame is taken from the top of the 216 foot high tower (21 stories).
Please ZOOM for detail.

Nice capture of this station Bill I have seen it before in a computer train game I use to play and make 3D models for... looked exactly like the ones in these photos. I like the two different POV's.. excellent Bill..
Love this double a lot. Cool to see new things 'appear' as you go high up.

Wonderful view! Thanks, Clive
What a handsome building! the tall buildings look good in all those different colours.
Lovely, I spent one night in Kansas city probably about 8 years ago on a trip back from Calif, we spent most of the time in the hotel letting the kids swim after being in car so long, and then went to lunch next day and did a bit of shopping, and sight seeing and hit the road. Curious what the structure is is to the right, is it a covered walkway or some type of tram system.. I don't remember seeing that. Lovely photo, thanks for sharing.
WOW That is a beautioful Building and in all a very beautiful city. Wonderful captures both of them and I wonder about the this kind of in door walk ways or something to the right of the building.
Very cool captures!
Wonderful photos, Bill! very nice comparisons
wonderful view!!! Great photos!!!!
Excellent aerial shot of KC...
Great images!!!
marvelous pictures!!
I love it, the different colours of the buildings are great, super pic!!!!
Hey, this place looks familiar! LOL! Isn't that view from Liberty Memorial just breathtaking? I remember it was cool and rainy when you and Tara were doing your tour of KC, but I think it really worked to your advantage here. The sky really looks awesome, and contrasts nicely with the colors of the buildings - lots of older red brick structures still standing and in excellent condition! Tennesseecowgirl asked about the walkway structure. That is indeed a covered walkway. It stretches from Union Station all the way to the Crown Center / Hallmark complex out of the photo to the right, and continues to the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Trust me - it's a looooooong walkway! Really great photos, Bill!
I was wondering about the habitrail structure, thanks for those above who clarified it! Great shots and view, I love those old buildings!
outstanding images! the effect is very good!
Wonderfully clear photos! I don't think I realized there were so many redbrick buildings in Kansas City. It really shows up in the top view! Excellent presentation of these two shots. The trip to the top was great! :)
