Description
Had to stop by this unusual work or art on my long drive from Kansas to Washington about 10 days ago.
Mitchell, South Dakota built this "Corn Palace" featuring crop art (corn and other grains) to originally attract settlers/farmers to the area and more recently to attract tourists. It works, 500,000 people a year visit this Corn Palace.
The exterior of the building is decorated with new crop art every year. It is both an arena and an exhibition hall. Architecturally, it is in Moorish Revival style.

Love the color and clarity of this shot! There's something about this that's a "signature" look for you. I'd know it for your work anywhere. I've seen this building in the pages of NG. Excellent!
Corn, Corny indeed. Interesting shot
