Description
My second bird attempt. View in full mode, if you would be so kind :)
This is a commission piece that I did for a poetry book cover. She simply requested "phoenix" and this is what came out. 100% painted in Photoshop, no references used (Though I probably should have used some!) I wasn't happy with how the fire turned out, it's bloody hard to paint fire! But I was rushed at the end, and it was done in the last few hours before the deadline. I probably spent five solid days on this, in total. Feathers are not my forte. :P

Wow!! That is incredible! You did a damn good job!
Fine work.
ah feathers, I don't envy you having to paint those at all :). This is a very lovely and unique Phoenix
Outstanding work. Great painting. B->
Looks outstanding to me, much better than I could ever hope to achieve. Good to see a new post from you, it's been awhile!

Very nice stylized take on the mythical creature. I think I like your stylized version of the fire and feathers, they work much better than realistic ones would for this particular effort. Very nicely done!
Really a beautiful painting. Love the detail!
Amazing, you got mad skills. ^_^
I think you did an awesome job on this...fire and feathers!!! Superb! :D
This is an excellent!
Luv it!!!!!!!!!
Incredibly good! The best Phoenix I have ever seen! I'm sure your diligence was appreciated! I need character pictures for my own books. I tried your old website for commissions. Link is down. Do you have a new website or should I send my e-mail address through Site Mail here? My bio is detailed. Check the picture too so you know how serious I am. WilliamEpic3
