Description
Well needless to say on Derby Day we got 11 inches of rain...then more after that...This is what part of Green River looks like now...There was no school today..suppose to be tomorrow but I doubt it these country roads where kids live rise quick....and they are rising..People got evacuated out of their homes in the trailer parks...it flooded my sons church basement..and it is just a mess....I haven't saw it this high in a very long time...I was amazed when I got out and looked and took what little pics I could get good images of....In other counties Red Cross is in boats taking food to people..that is the only way they can get in and out...Tomorrow and next day is suppose to be sunny and no rain but come Thurs there is...so what goes down will come right back up......
I just wonder where all the little fish that has just been born go...and I wonder if they survive....
Haven't saw it this bad since back in 1997 I think...
As usual I did all post work in PSP 9
Added borders,frame, and text....
Adjusted hue and saturation and also sharpened the image just a little bit more
Haven't felt good all weekend have been in bed hurting so bad....Need to get ready to go there now...
I also made it in the Gallery Art Charts..I ranked number 26 for the image I did Love In A Mist..This really gave me a smile....
Thank you for taking time to stop and comment
Also thank you for any of you that favorite this image as well
Hope you all have a great night
Again thanks for taking time to post and comment
Hugs n love

This looks scary as hell...Silkylady...
wow great capture here
Well done for the charts entry. Floods are scarey, the water seems to be fast moving, hope it subsides soon!!!!
Great capture. Inspiring to see you posting in spite of your pain. Well done on the charts dear. {{{hugs}}}
terrible weather and terrible situation for all of you
Oh what a shot susan!!! The water must've been cold... I just want to row a boat here... would you like to be with me??? ;) Row, row, row your boat, gently down the creek. You might get your bottom wet if you spring a leak. Row, row, row your boat, gently ’round the lake. Don’t stand up and rock the boat, that's a big mistake. Row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream, until you hit the waterfall— then you’ll start to scream. Aaiiieee! taken from gigglepoetry.com Hope you'd like this poem
Wow! That's quite a flood, Susan.
Fabulous water scene - you can just feel that water flowing by. We got a ton of rain here yesterday too. Congrats on making the art charts!! Bravo to you. :)
Really nice capture of this flood! Very well done.
Seeing all of this in TV, too. It is amazing how much water can come down in a short period of time. Praying for everyone in the flood zones right now. This is a great capture. Hope the baby fishies make it, too. I'm sure most of them will. They are quite resilient.

Heard about it on the news Susan. Excellent portrayal!! :)
Well, you've certainly caught a bit of history in your lens, this time. Sorry you're hurting. Take care of yourself.
It simply was an amazing event here in Ky. So many areas considered disaster areas. I have to say we were blessed considered Madison Co. was hit hard too. Glad to know you are safe. Amazing image of the fierceness of the water. Hope you have better feeling days ahead.
