Description
Fitting the Rearward Fuel Pods
Whilst fitting the two remaining generic fuel pods is no easy task it will be made just that little bit easier by the fact that the distance to be travelled by the two pods to reach their respective docking ports is not so great as the forward pod.
Also making things easier is the fact that the shuttles commander who is operating the two robotic arms will be able see more using various cameras and her own eyes via the two windows mounted on the cargo bay side of the shuttles flight deck.
Once again slowly, ever so slowly each of the pods is removed from their cargo pallet, positioned, and then inserted into place.
Each EVA to fit the two remaining pods takes only four hours this time and after taking yet another rest break the crew will prepare for the final part of the mission.
To be continued.
