Description
Our camgrounds at Fort Worden State Park. The bluff is known as Artillery Hill. Had it been windy, the hill would have provided a nice windbreak against ocean breezes.
The Rental RV (Recreational Vehicle) in the lower left image was our home away from home. Kind of thrilling to drive something 10 feet wide with the mirrors out and 30 feet long.
These campsites are just off to the right/west of the beach in my last post, "This is an Army Post?" (See directly below)

gorgeous place and photo!!
What an experience! Clive
Well good morning, are you still there now? I can imagine you waking up to coffee and taking a morning walk on the beach what a beautiful place. You are making me homesick for the west coast, but then we have had two earthquakes in my town here the last two days, the one last night was small but it jolted my daughter Erin out of bed. And she asked what was that and I said it was another earthquake its starting to feel like California here in Tennessee lol.. really enjoying your series
Oh...driving that would be OK until I had to back up. lol Nice seeing these beautiful shots of your travels Bill...looks very enjoyable! :-)
Lovely place for a stopover especially with a mobile like that.
The veiw is a great way to wake up. Or go to bed. :-) I'm looking at an RV purchase in the next few years - perhaps a little shorter than this one though. Not sure I could maneuver one this long!
Wonderful place!! I know the discomfort when you rent a motorhome and the renter gives you the keys and says goodbye, and you're in front of a trailer as big as a bus. My first time was in LA, year 1979. Finally, since you couldn't spend a month contemplating The Monster, I said 'OK, I'll try!" Just me and another guy(out of 6 that we were), we had enough guts to try :-D!!
You take the "Roughing it" out of camping. ;D Great collage!
Oh what fun! I need to get my Yahoo back so I can catch up!!!
Wonderful collection of photos! Must be tough, roughing it like you do!
Looks like you're campin' in style, there, Bill! Wow - what a place to wake up. Beautiful spot, and great photos! I'll bet that RV is interesting to maneuver through traffic. I'd like to get a RoadTrek RV someday - it's built on a Chevy van chassis, and would be awesome for two people. And not nearly as challenging to dodge all the fools in city traffic LOL!
What a size! That beats a VW camper..the autohome of choice for our surfers! Looks idyllic!
What a wonderful place to stop and recharge your batteriers, great capture!!!
interesting pictures!!!!!
:o) :o) Bill I thought you were CAMPING as in a tent :o) What a fabulous motorhome, what a huge motorhome, glad you enjoying!!!!
WOW ! Seems to be a wonderful place to stay with ones autocamper. Super shots too.
Beautiful collage and place.
so cool, to have time, hang a little in the nature, make a walk, some pictures or nothing.. perhaps in about 12 years... thank you for the mood of campground somewhere, love it very much!

Cool shots!!
Wow thats a nice looking camper Bill did it have all the comfit of home? Lovely collage of the camping grounds also.. Excellent post!!

Fortunate to have good weather.
EXCELLENT WAY TO MAKE A TRIP, BUT WHO WAS IN CHARGE OF THE SEWAGE? IN THE STORY FLAVIA TOLD, I USUALLY WAS :-(
Dude that betters my tent/swag/back of car/sleeping inside surfboard bag/sleeping bag hands down!
Great campsite. Fancy way to travel---your home on wheels is so colorful. I imagine people on the road enjoyed seeing it.
CAMPING I LOVE THIS
Stunning clarity and lush colors on display in this keen kollage, Bill! And how did you find a rental RV with that cool airbrush job?
That looks to be a great way to get around the country and this campsite looks lovely and quiet when you visited. Excellent captures.
Must be nice to own a trailer home and travel. Interesting shot. Aloha
