Description
Andrea,...who sees faces everywhere, has got me looking for faces now too. Came around a big old fallen tree and saw this instantly...only trouble is this poor guy lost part of his jaw somewhere. And his body too. LOL
Added after the 13th comment below: I couldn't see the unicorn or the pony on the stick...until starring at this for awhile...then poof...there it was. Kind of like a Rorschach (inkblot) test.
This is along the trail to the Hall of Mosses in the Hoh River Rain Forest area of the gigantic Olympic National Park.
A wee bit more detail: Hoh Rain Forest
Will post a view of our campsite here too. Imagine the sound of a river washing over rocks about 15 feet from your open window all night...ahhh:)

A Luck Dragon! I wondered where he got to... Well done, Bill, Clive
Awesome find for a "face"...excellent Bill!
Wonderful shot, reminds me of the Swamp Thing! or was that Mossman?
Whoa! That is kind of scary BUT an awesome find, shot and share. Dana
Definitely the mythical Unicorn! :) Awesome Capture Bill!
Take away the 'horn' and it looks like a dog. Well captured.
Looks like you found Big Foot's wig Bill!!! Most wonderful indeed! :)
I see a unicorn too, like Denise! But I also see what you saw, poor bloke looks quite depressed! Thankyou for thinking of me!
Excellent photo.
Obviously a troll :))
Looks like one of those toy ponys on a stick you can remember back to those right?? :)
Amazing capture. Excellent shot!!
WOWW!! I see a unicorn. That is indeed so well seen and captured, Bill.
First thing I saw... a unicorn. Well seen!!!!!!!!
I see a beautiful redhead in a tiny black string bikini, sipping a pina colada with that 'come on' look..... Wait a minute...... what the heck is in this coffee??? Seriously, cool photo, Bill! I can see the troll head (poor fellow), and the unicorn as well. that moss is absolutely amazing!! Loving your photo tour of the northwest!
The Last Unicorn! GREAT shot!
la celebre licorne des bois!!superbe photo!!
A bit like a demented unicorn!!! well scene and CAPTURED lol
I can see an Airedale dog, if you ignor the stick!!! Amazing what you can find if you look :o)
well seen and captured :-)
great capture! actually i see an impaled donkey rotting head ... maybe it's too gothic, i'm sorry...
Well spotted....great capture....
Capital clarity, lighting and textural effects in this capture of something most arcane, Bill. It looks either like the barrel of a cannon jutting out from some thick underbrush, or a very tired big-winged bird stretched out on a log taking catching a few z's. As for Andrea, right out of the blue, she instantly and inexpliably broke off contact with me some weeks ago. Women!
Amazing Shot Bill as soon as I saw it I thought Horse head then saw the stick poking out and thought Unicorn.. can make out the trolls head with part of jaw missing.. excellent capture and a def fav!!
What a delightful craggy old face you found here. Very well spotted. I love the moss.
I see an Airedale dog!
Dogs, unicorns, dragons, trolls ... and here I thought it looked a bit like a mossy Storm Trooper. You know, one of Jeff Vader's men. (You'll need a tray. I do not need a tray, I can kill you with a thought!)
Bog Foot mask! lol Great eye.
