Description
You are lost – lost deep in an unfamiliar forest. Somehow, you sense that this is not like other forests you have explored. This is different. You can’t quite put your finger on it, but it seems to have a magical quality to it; beautiful, and yet threatening at the same time.
You stop in mid-stride, startled as mystical lights appear, seemingly out of nowhere. What are they? Where did they come from? What do they portend?
Then you see her. She steps from the mists, quietly, as if she was conceived from the mists themselves. She is beautiful, and you sense a great power within her. She seems to glow as if made of light itself. The mists begin to clear. The stars have never seemed so bright.
Is she your salvation? Will she lead you to safety? That depends upon your manners. I would advise great respect.
Our lovely mage is Soleil, another G4 variant. She is wearing Powerage’s magnificent Purple Esmeralda with Quests texture by renapd.
The background is an original Photoshop painting by me. I have amassed a fair collection of Photoshop brushes, and decided to put some of them to work, finally. Some minor postwork was done on her hair, and her staff. The glowing orb in her staff is simply a primitive from Poser’s props with a little of Bagginsbill’s magic applied to make it glow.
I hope you’ve enjoyed your journey into her world.
Thanks so much for all your comments, favorites, and ratings. They mean a lot to me.

Superb work! love the starlight on background and mist effect. i have not used G4 till now, But like your Soleil.
cool forest to get lost in, mostly with a babe like her rod. love her outfit and that great atmo..
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!!!!!! Beautiful and HOT Rod! Superlative and wonderful image and commentary! Super job on that background too! The starry sky reminds me of a night I spent camping in the north country of NH a few years back. A wicked wind storm had swept up the Androscogin river forcing all but the hardiest of the campers to go home. Two friends and myself stayed behind and weathered the storm (which had winds high enough to rip the wind fly on my tent) and we were rewarded with a gradually clearing sky which revealed a gorgeous spread of stars scattered across the black velvet sky much like what your image portrays. I only wish we had met this beauty on that trip. It would have made the journey complete. Thanks for the memories. Wonderful work and a favorite for sure!
Hi Rod...this is SO very good!! I really like this G4 variant. And you really gave this render a magical feel.

Great render Rod and fantastic story to set the scene.. She looks great, certainly a magical scene, well done my friend a wonderful posting..
Your story is a real attention grabber Rod and your illustration fills the bill for creativity. I have done next to nothing with brushes. Are these mostly photos you have taken and some PS paintings? I don't really understand the process. That'd be a good topic for an over lunch conversation one of these days.
I agree with bmac62, a captivating image! What's good about your works is that you can play with almost anything from scratch and make a simple image into a perfect masterpiece. I also love that tutorial you made, thanks for sharing Rod!
