Description
This was taken at the foot of Croagh Patrick looking west, and the famous site of a pilgrimage including myself, often done bare footed. I was struck by this find of the Bicycle. Which seemed to me to be either the beginning, or the end of a journey... With New year upon us may your own journey let every end be a Beginning..
The tradition of pilgrimage to this holy mountain stretches back over 5,000 years from the Stone Age to the present day without interruption.
Croagh Patrick is renowned for its Patrician Pilgrimage in honour of Saint Patrick, Ireland's patron saint..
Our life is an apprenticeship to the truth that around every circle another can be drawn; that there is no end in nature, but every end is a beginning, and under every deep a lower deep opens. Ralph Waldo Emerson:

A fine photo with equally fine words. Needed to hear and think about "Every end is a beginning". It is true of course but sometimes it is difficult to make the transition.
