Description
This was taken at the foot of Croagh Patrick looking west, and the famous site of a pilgrimage including myself, often done bare footed. I was struck by this find of the Bicycle. Which seemed to me to be either the beginning, or the end of a journey... With New year upon us may your own journey let every end be a Beginning..
The tradition of pilgrimage to this holy mountain stretches back over 5,000 years from the Stone Age to the present day without interruption.
Croagh Patrick is renowned for its Patrician Pilgrimage in honour of Saint Patrick, Ireland's patron saint..
