Description
You already know how I love surfers. There's something about them and the way they love their sport that is so genuine. I don't surf (yet), but I understand their love of the ocean.
I had a special friend for a while who was a surfer. He and I shared a love of the ocean and talked about that a lot. He's gone now, but this foto reminded me of him and how he surfed every single day. I hope all his waves will be perfect; he's a wounded soul and he deserves anything that will give him peace.

Great photo and story Maz. Look at that full length steamer! Hehe it's nearly summer here. We are already swimming heaps, but once in a while I think a white Christmas would be nice. The only thing white here is the hot sand!
Great pic...our artificial reef is finished and working well. I feel I have left it a bit late to learn to stand up on a board, I'll stick to bodyboarding!

I too love the blue tones in this scene. Well done. No sport equals surfing. Not the competitive stuff, just the oneness with the waves. Waves are like people, no two are alike; even after decades there are some you will never forget.
