Description
The fall season and changing colors of the leaves attracts many tourists to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Locals say the colors will reach the peak of beauty this week.
I tried to find a good photo of the trees but in most cases the sun was in front, blowing out the sky. This one photo was taken where the sun was at my back and the sky remained blue, a peek between close trees to the mountain beyond.
The colors do peak to more beauty than seen here but the mountains were comfort and peace enough to me just as all was last weekend.

Good morning Tom. this is beautiful, and yes the colors are certainly changing daily, am loving it.. did you hear about the rock slides we've had, I had plans to go up towards North Carolina oh well not now, they say that road will be closed for three months, and this morning on the news they reported another rock slide.. I hope they are able to repair that one soon. I have a doctors appointment this morning but after that I am heading out to enjoy this beautiful day and the autumn colors I can't wait. happy fall.

Such a large portion of our trees out here are conifers and do not change color. There are some stands and some clusters that do and they create a riot of color to attack the senses but nothing like an entire forest is available. I love the particular color of blue in this sky as it brings out the fall colors so well.
What a brilliant slab of colors Tom. I think we've just peaked here in eastern Kansas...today, lots of rain and the leaves are on the way down.
