Description

She came sauntering down the sidewalk on a sunny Saturday morning in that red sweater and while I was staring at her, she glanced up and I fell into those big green eyes. A wry smile curled her lips as though she had seen my reaction a million times before and enjoyed it. I was admiring her tomatoes (and she had really fine tomatoes), pondering the odds of a guy like me ever doing anything to impress a girl like this. Just then her bag ripped and an orange fell out, bouncing across the sidewalk. Another orange slipped out and she caught a jar of olives just in time. Without thinking, I slipped out my window, onto the ledge and dropped onto the awning below. Catapulted in a somersault, I came to a handstand on the wrought iron railing and floated effortlessly to my feet, right in front of her, just in time to catch a third orange and then a carton of eggs. We introduced ourselves as we picked up her groceries, then I took my shirt off and we gathered everything in it and I walked her home. She invited me in for a great brunch, but breakfast the next morning was even better. Shhh, nobody wake me up, I want to keep this dream going a little longer.
