Looks like a budgie to me and a lovely yellow colouring, excellent capture Richard, probably someone's pet has escaped...

so nice little bird! Great shot!!!!
Great shot
Amazing capture..He is so pretty.
Very nice colourful bird! Great capture.
I would rather say it is an American Goldfinch as they tend to hang around backyards looking for special feed a neighbor here puts out food for all types of birds and I see many gold, yellow and black red robins come by ,either way he/she??is fabulous looking what a great shot!~
wonderful capture
This bird is an Australian grass parrot or Budgerigar (Native Name). Sometimes called a parakeet. They are very common as pets all over the world. Budgies are bred with many different colours and patterns. This one I think is a yellow/green palewing..(female)
super image, i love it.

Great capture Richard. Love the color and detail!
Definitely someones' pet parakeet.

I thought I would drop a comment while fluttering around in here. This is a great shot. Nice capture.
Beautiful! Have a wonderful night!!!
Farout Richard! Are these native where you live, or is the poor bird abandoned?
cute little thing, great shot..
I think that is someone's pet. I'm quite sure they are not native to Texas but Australia! He's beautiful. Did he talk to you? I had a friend who had a white one and he learned to speak quite well. He would make up his own jokes and then laugh hysterically, at his own jokes. He thought he was quite funny and he was. Great shot.
Wow - that's amazing that it's a wild Lorykeet. I've only seen them at the zoo. Beautiful little yellow guy too.
