Description
This is for my new friend Vintorex who relentlessly pushes me to get on with the series. If this series goes faster than my previous ones you have him to thank; although most of you know I go at my own unhurried pace and am subject to taking a number of sidetracks. You can see one of Vintorex's fine landscapes at "Autumn in Shangri-La"
Having learned of Ishtar's clay tablet given to her by their Grandfather Enki, Ninshubar has an idea and asks to be heard.
Of course dear Ninshubar, I will hear you. You are my vizier and you have always given wise council.
My Lady it seems that we are both in need of some travel. I grow restless here in Uruk; you need to find out if there are more of these tablets. Let us go find them! Let's go to Grandfather Enki's city of Eridu!
Oh my Ninshubar that sounds like a great adventure, but Eridu is many leagues journey by land from here. How would we get there? I don't want to leave Uruk unattended for such a long time while we walk or ride all that way.
Ishtar do not forget that I am the Goddess of the Wind, you and I will set sail in my boat, Ventusi. I promise that there will be fair winds for us to journey to Eridu, we will be there in days, not weeks!
Oh fantastic, then let us go to that great city and we will visit Grandfather! It will be great, I have not yet sent an envoy to thank him for sending Isimud to rescue me from Ereshkigal. Now I will get to pay him homage in person.
Yes, this will be good my lady. We must make sure that we keep Grandfather on our side. There are many others competing for his attention and we must ensure that Eridu always stays aligned with Uruk. We are his favorite Grandchildren, this I know, but we should never take his benevolence for granted. He will be moved that we come so far to thank him in person. And who knows ... we might gain other goods from such a journey.
Hmmm, Ninshubar are you suggesting we might be able to "liberate" some of Grandfather's library?
Well the idea did cross my mind. It would be of great benefit to the people of Uruk to have such texts at hand. But first we must see if such a library exists and then we will worry about how we might get our hands on some of it.
Oh yes, yes, yes, Ninshubar, I love this! What a glorious idea my most lovely cousin. We get to travel on an adventure, we get to thank Grandfather for his aide and then we get to see if we can bring back a bit of his treasure! Oh you are just such so smart my dear, I love you!
Thank you my lady and I do love you too. But remember, we are going there to thank Grandfather, not to rob him! If we manage to take back any of his tablets we must do so with honour. We cannot steal them from him; we must find a way to earn them.
Yes, yes, of course, I agree. We would not want to taint the gifts of civilization with conflict. It will be a fun to see if we can wheedle them from him by other means! Besides we do not want to arouse the wrath of Isimud, and his army of demons. They would pose a mighty challenge for even the two of us.
Indeed, there is no use asking for trouble! So then it is agreed? You and I shall travel by Ventusi to Eridu?
Yes, oh yes, prepare your ship and then let us sail.

Excellent work! I love the POV and the story! When is chapter 3 coming out? Huh? huh? huh?
An excellent scene, the poses and expressions really convey the spirit of their story.
Very well done..
Love the poses as the scene is very believable. Great setup to the trip. Take your time and don't get stressed. Chapter 3 will be interesting.
Outstanding work once again! I have to commend you on this one, yu have given them a very human and mortal look and feel to them. They look like a couple of teenagers having a sleepover, but I guess even Goddesses have girlfriends like that. As always your eye for detail and your strive to make he perfect image have paid off. This is very much a "Roxy" image.
This is a fantastic scene and series
Great render again with so many details. Good posing and love the colors
the story carries on very well roxy and the render is again very neatly worked out. you do great work hon.

Lovely story and illustration ! Love the expressions !
No matter who we have to thank I am just grateful to see more of the series Roxy. The scene is absolutely breathtaking and as with all of your art it has a sense of realism about it few can match. The character interaction is first rate and the story captivating. If there is a better way for me to start my day than seeing your art I honestly can't think of it :)
Simply wonderful. The posing and expressions are superb. I love the POV and lighting, too. I'm amazed!
WOW this look super Roxy!
Another fabulous scene - top notch! One small observation: Ishtar's hair should hang freely at the bottom, not follow her body. The lighting, textures and posing are really really good. I really love the hair - the highlights add a wonderful touch of realism!
Wowww wonderful scene ! I love it very much. Ambiant lights, poses, colors... are great, excellent work !!
Ah, thats more like it! Excellent and life-like scen. The scene is great, obviously these demigods have lots of gold and money. Ventusi? hmm, I don't remember I read about that one but I must have missed it! Since when did it became a mighty challenge for two grandchild girls to cuddle their grandfather around their finger? But I miss the 3D-doll look. NOT! Thank you very much for the dedi! It is the first and only one I ever got! (I guess I must work on my sweet and gentle image)
Gorgeous yet again...Hugs
Beautiful interaction between the 2 girls...so gentle and sweet and innocent they look together... The scenery is warm and beautiful and the lighting is fantastic...this is a sparkling image..the hand poses, the face expression and the poses in general make this image like they are having a real chat. And there is that litle smoke effect again (perfect use of brushes) as the finishing touch...that can't be missed out of your gorgeous scenes....an high quality image!! love it :) thanks for sharing...
Superb as always Roxy. Your "unhurried pace" is demonstrated through your attention to detail. I believe I have yet to see one of your renders having poke-through and your figures are always well grounded. The clearity and lighting of this render is gloriuous and your posing of people is so good and natural looking that one tends to forget just what one is looking at - a render composed of inanimate objects. And the smoke effects, well you know I like smoke effects. LOL! Excellent job.
Wonderful image, great details. Love the poses, and the textures and details are super. Excellent work. Thank you so much for your comment and well wishes on my last upload, now if I can just avoid catching the flu from my hubby lol :)
