Great still life... beautiful colors!
Very cool concept and original seeming idea. Love the spider the lighting and shadow are perfect could have put some more bump or displacement on the oriental design to give the vase more texture but the scene arrangement is good overall. The spiderweb though maybe could have been blended into the image a little better or taken out completey. To me it draws the eyes away from the knife in the rose which seems to be the focus of the image. The small lid standing up also pulls your (my) eyes away from the knife beause they are both at the same angle it takes away from the impact the knife would otherwise have at a 90 degreee angle to the rest of the image. also I beleave I don't think the knife needs the blood the image the blood is implied by the red vases. I hope you take these merely as suggestions to consider and not as trying to bash your artwork! Chris

Damn, this is actually thought provoking! Do you realise the extent of your achievement? You made me think! In 11 years of schooling nobody ever managed to come close. So much to look at and so much to consider in this pic. The work of an artist, not just a bored person making a picture. This F***ing laptop is pissing me off now. How do you turn off the stupid click keys, grrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I keep catching them as I type and the cursor buggers off. I'm calm. I see a tale of tragic romance from long ago when I look at this picture. Is that what you were going for?
