Playing with filters again ...
There are loads of ways to separate foreground from background. I isolated the flower in this image and postworked the sections separately. This is too much fun! :D
The day we went to MooseRidge, we started out at Cindy's place, wandering through her garden. The dahlias were just starting, and this lovely single yellow variety was irresistable!

Very nice. Perfect isolation of the subject!

Yes but something is wrong..... we see the whole flower ;-) Just kidding :-D A really wonderful flower and I think it looks very beautiful with this filter.
Awesome postwork my friend which makes the image look like a painting! Superb!!! (I am babysitting Kayla hence the reason I'm not online!!)

Wonderful work. Looks very beautiful!
I haven't a clue as to what you did, but you did it wonderfully! Gorgeous Tara!
very nice work!
Oh, I love postwork, and I really need my own computer with Photoshop--the latest version C3 or whatever. It's just too much fun, especially dealing with the "smart sharpen" feature. As for this photograph, it's stunning. It looks incredibly alive and wonderfully detailed. The color is fantastic and the organicness of it just rocks! It makes me want to take my camera out and go get stock photos to do all sorts of things to! Great stuff!
This is great! It looks like a painting, or something hyper detailed, like one of those Japanes manga, where someone's hair has so much sharp detail! This is really cool! I like it a lot!
stunning post work ....would love to learn how to do this!!
How lovely this looks with the beautiful texture.
Awesome postwork on the petals - showing the veining and color. Outstanding detail in the center. Dana
Nice work a dark background always lifts a light subject.
Works well... like the effects here... And a beautiful flower to boot, as well!! Rob.
an excellent outcome, i'll try this too!
