Description
Stained glass window from a chapel that used to stand at Wheelus Air Force base seven miles outside of Tripoli, Libya. The base was closed in 1971 and this window, commemorating the lost B-24, Lady Be Good, was donated to the National Museum of the USAF.
If you've never read of the mysterious disappearance of the lady Be Good in 1943 and the accidental relocation of it in 1959, this page is worth reading: B-24, Lady Be Good
Thanks for stopping by,

Stellar clarity and perspective depicted in this foto of the magnificent stained glass window. I remember reading about the B-24, and believe there may have been a movie of some sort made about the incident. I'll have to check out the link tomorrow.
