Description

As miracles would have it, Edwina and Fred returned in the spring. Never did find out what had happened to Drifty. As you can see, the feeding sessions became less stressful. There were only three eggs that year and 2 to 4 the following years. Only Fred returned for the 12 season. He spent that last year driving the ducks crazy and making me laugh with his antics. Thanks for reading this story and thank you, my friends, for the heart warming site mails – including some swan stories of your own. Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous comments & favs. Dana

I have followed this story with great interest with some sad moments but such wonder too. I am an optimist and believe Drify found his mate and had a number of years of great companionship. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing experience Dana

Have loved the Edwina & Fred saga. Love this last pic, all the hard work paid off & what an honour to have Fred bring Edwina for breakfast.

A beautiful long and slender neck. I can see how easy it would have been for him to bite you in the 'rear of the early years'! Very nice picture, well done.
