Description
The Chicago Art Institute. Oh, what a place. Just glance at this link or google it yourself. Wow.
Chicago Art Institute
Title comes from the fact of how I took this photo out the passenger side window as we drove by the front of the building enroute to the Sears' Tower.
Made it home to Leavenworth safe and sound yesterday...next stops on Bill's and Rob's great adventure will be Kansas City and Topeka, Kansas. More museums, city-scapes, etc.
Best to you all...will begin to comment again soon...honest :-))) I have been looking at what you've all been up to...great stuff!

Cool..
Hey Bud!...nice shot, the title had me a little worried there, was waiting for the violin cases etc!...tee hee.
Great drive by shot........ I would of taken some of the people out of the background and the bicycle in PS though...... Just thought I would give you a hard time.........LOL! Take care my friend..... Ray
Great place indeed and great shot!!!
Yaba Daba Doo! Super work here! Looks like you have got to grips with new camera 8~)
Drive bys make some of the best shots. Wonderful capture!
LOL at Ray SUPER PHOTO!!!!!!!!
Supa clear shot from a drive by :o) Like PD14, I was wondering. :o)
Good shooting. Your title must have scared away the ladies. Thought myself, for a second, that you had bought a black limo, with tinted glass and an automatic and were running around Chicago like Capone. ;-) Cheers and good travels, Skipper
Wonderful POV. And I agree. It's a fantastic museum, too.
I get all kinds of flak for my drive bys--but that's usually because I'm not the passenger!! But this is great and it sounds like your trip was all it should have been--yay!!
Great shot on the fly! How exciting. Sounds like you are having a great time.
Wonderful shot. Glad you had a great time and are home again. Loving all your shots.
Very well done. 5+.
Good shot, Bill. Handsome lion.
WOW - excellent for a drive by!!! Sounds like you are having loads of fun Bill! :)
So you didn't go in?.........
Great shooting for a drive by LOL excellent POV!!!
Bet they wouldn't let you take a camera in there!
I see you're enjoying your new toy...!!! Excellent photo...
superlative shot from the shotgun seat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm with Andrea ... she and I would have been jumping out the passenger door and pushing our way in the doors! I followed the link. Some of my favorite paintings are in that building! Gosh. That would have been something to see! I'm looking forward to hearing all about your adventures once you're done having them, my friend! :)
So, where are all the bullet holes on the lion and institute walls, and the pedestrians diving for cover? That's what I, a Los Angeles resident, thought a drive-by was all about. In any event, a capital capture considering it was taken from a moving vehicle. Your new camera serves you well. I'm holding off uploading my military stuff until you're all settled back in your lair and ready to comment, Bill.
I knew that lion looked familiar, get capture. I hope you had a great time. If you were a little father north it's been cold and rainy forever now, it looks like you had some awesome weather.
It's a great shot, Bill, and a good thing that we were slowing down for the stoplight! (LOL) @goodoleboy: The bullet holes are in the facade of Holy Name Cathedral further up Michigan Ave. Big Al's boys whacked Hymie Weiss and the church took some hits in the process.
great shot!!
NEAT SHOT WOWWWWWWW WELL DONE
A great drive by and I will go and take a look at this gallery. I went around the Christchurch one while I was up there and enjoyed seeing what is new. Have a good trip.
Nice architectural details, for a drive-by!
Very nice, a perfect kind of 'drive by shooting'. :)
