Description
In Cornwall, a hedge is generally a built structure or bank with or without a stone facing. Frequently, these are topped with woody trees, plants and shrubs and, sometimes but not always, form hedgerows, as in this shot. The number of flowers and plants and animals that can be found is at times quite amazing.
The typical Hedge is often very tall and one possible complaint maybe it is then difficult to look over them as you walk or drive through, the beautiful countryside.
They have defined the Cornish landscape for centuries and today provide a distinct local identity quite different from other areas of the country where hedgerows are more common.
Thanks for taking time to view and forany comments etc you care to make
