Description
This cardinal landed in a tree right off the corner of my back deck Monday morning. Two seconds after I took this photo he was gone. Not much time to ensure the camera is nicely braced for perfect focus, etc.
The whole business of photographing wild birds in and around my backyard is more challenging then I thought it would be but now I'm hooked.

I find Wild Birds MOST uncooperative! Here in the U.K. anyway. And, it seems there too. No wonder top photographers go around with lens the size of nuclear missiles! This is an excellent shot for what is obviously a fast moving bird. If I'd have snapped,, using Auto, my camera probably would have focused on that branch! Great effort Bill! Rob.

Stellar shot of the bird, taken under somewhat adverse conditions. Other than butterflies, snails and turtles, capturing most any kind of sentient life forms can be most difficult. And that includes pets.
I love the color!!! Believe me ..I know what you mean about perfect focus ..I seem to fight that quite often!
