Description
Two poses...same robin. Taken this morning in my backyard.
As I looked at these photos, the pose on the left reminded me of an old time politician making a stump speech. Abraham Lincoln made a speech here in 1860 that has been credited with having a lot to do with getting him elected President. So, there is quite a precedent here:-)
Thanks for stopping by and please ZOOM...,

Great shots. Looks like he fell for the bait. Birdseed and water will do it,
Very vibrant captures. Like all politicians, he looks like he's telling you what you want to hear. The one bird we don't feed, but in the summer he's the one making us change the water supply as often as possible. They love a bath as well as a drink, and wait in line for the water.
These are super shots. Haven't seen but one robin here this spring. They are so pretty.
Neat photos, Bill. Robins do look self-important. As DK mentions, Robins do seem to enjoy splashing in birdbaths. Somewhere in the distant path I read to fill the birdbaths from as high as you can reach so birds can hear the splash.
Beautiful bird and fantastic photo.
Crisp, clear and great focus in these double shots, Bill!
Beautiful captures of this pretty little bird. He does look to be telling you a story.
LOL, great shot--he looks quite pompous!!
Oh my. You weren't kidding when you told me you got some "pretty good" shots this morning. Wow. These are fantastic! Nicely done, my friend!
This is a favorite in my back yard they don't eat from the feeders but they love the bird bath, love to get wet, both are awesome shots, well done!!!
lovely capture x
Superb pics! I love the pose in the first shot, legs apart, self-important, waiting for quiet!
great shot...
Oh what a pretty capture!! We finally have Robin's here...SPRING! lol
fantastic shot!!
Really, really nice! I look forward to snapping the same! Or whatever!!! A beautiful bird and montage. Excellent. Rob.
Excellent shots
Great shots of this handsome fellow!
Great title Bill, looks like an old town crier, all dress up to the nines :)
Perfect description and narrative, he does look like he is addressing the crowd. Nice pov on the white feathers not often seen!
Actually I saw one of them (politicians, not robins ;D) on a platic crate just last week! great capture!
Gorgeous !!
excellent captures. my grand father was friends with Lincoln before he was president and his name is mentioned in a book in writing about Abe
Great shots Bill.
