Description
These are the birds that guard my strawberry patch. They do a very good job!!

I'll bet they keep the strawberry eating variety away...the guys on the ground look like they might have stood taller at some time in the past. Very colorful and cheery.
WOW! I missed your brilliant sense of color and since I'm in Chicago now ( a very gray and grimy city ) its good to see that colors still exist. This is super! It's got a more-real-than real quality to it and the guardian birds themselves look vaguely glass-like and vaguely metallic in a way that I love!
Wonderful objects!
lovely pic!
They look great Marilyn, I've never seen such colorful one's before.
pretty birdies!
They wouldn't keep me away, but then I'd end up profoundly red, I love strawberries but am allergic to them :)....Great vibrant artwork here sweetie.
Nice work, the colors are completely you, and I love the composition!
Fantastic shot, well seen ! :)
lovely my friend x
Beautiful...
I have two, slightly different style, that I rely on to chase the neighbor's cats away. Well, I thought they'd help but I've found Kitty Deposits laying half buried in the ground under them so perhaps its not working out so well... :-)
Absolutely gorgeous composition, M!
The song Pretty Flamingo springs to mind here Marilyn :o) Mick
you've given a high-detail & vivid vision of these, and they really pop off the page. Because of the detail and sharpness of the grass, it comes at us as if it were flush with the picture-surface—it looks almost like a hanging, a textile, something you have on a wall. I know it's not that, but I love that it can be seen that way, nice dual-personality. And the high bird (flamingo?) draws the upper & lower portions together—agree with harry about the composition. There are even bits of reddish orange in the grass, drawing it in with the birds & patch. Another fav, a very vivid piece.
I like this a lot! It's so vivid that it practically bleeds off the screen in a surreal dream-like way. I also felt a tinge of slightly sinister irony lurking amid the riot of color. The longer I looked at it the more I began to envision the opening shot of an " X-Files " episode just before something ominous happens. Great work and I love the title.
