Description
Same fly-by, same aircraft, except I took this picture after it had passed over us. Note the disturbed water surface from the downdraft at the center left.
The aircraft is leaving the lagoon and heading toward the open ocean.
Picture was taken in March 1990 and later scanned.
Thank you for viewing and commenting and possible favs,

Wow that is quite a shot, especially with the water so blue and bit of white beach. Beautiful capture!
A great departing shot!
chuckles at casmindo's remark Such a beautiful place :)
superb!
If the Wright brothers could just have seen this beach shot almost 87 years after their beach shot in North Carolina... The disturbed water really is the frosting on the cake.
Super cool. 5+.

What a great shot, Sig!!
super Foto!!!!!
Superb colors and capture!!!
Puts the hairs on the back of my neck up, just looking at it! You have to ask, WHY? Was the pilots girlfriend on the beach and he just showed off his new ride!!!! But why, AND..... Did the C.O. know about it! Great picture (and the other, bigger please, other one?) Straight to Faves! Rob.
Super-superlative shot!!! it flies really low!
Fantastic shot!!!!
Excellent picture!!
@debbielove. Rob, this was done to boost our morale, the troops, no girlfriends. I have seen this done in other, remote places. You would be surprised what something like this does for the morale of the troops-it boosts everything. Having a unit with good morale makes all the difference. Working around the clock? No prblem! Lousy meals? No problems! Away from home and loved ones? Not that big of a problem! With the right morale just about anything can be accomplished. And a low fly-by will do that. As to the C.O? The PCS commander, a major(the local detachment) came begging after the second fly-by to please stop. He was worried abot a major mishap on his watch, Sig....
Splendid landscape Sig..love the colors and atmosphere! Great one :)
