Description
I was driving along highway 15 between Leupp on the Navajo Reservation and Winona, on Interstate 40.
This picture was taken just west of the reservation boundary. What caught my eye was not the old pickup but the '58,'59', or '60 Ford 'Thunderbird' in the background. It brought back memories of when I first arrived in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in summer 1960. I used to stand at the dealerships lots and check out this car and dream about owning one. Well I never did, but this model Thunderbird is one of my all-time favorite American cars.
In the distance is the Painted Desert.
This picture was taken on 22 February 2009.

WOW NICE!!! I like that thunderbird too !!!! I have a 1964 T-bird, I left it with my son as I moved from California, He can fix it back up, I owned it for 30 years and rebuilt it twice...now my son can play with it !! I also owned a 67 T-bird a few years back, Great riding car!! Great image !!! [^____^] Cheers, Roger
WHAT?..For sale?, looks like ebay has come to rendo lol..nice shot Sig, great textures and rustyness.
It needs a lick of paint then it'll be just fine!
FABULOSO!! my dad had one of those birds..... i was 16 and got to use it on dates.... i was too cute by half.
Fantastic image!!!
Awesome! I like it!
Extraordinary capture!!!
Oh, I like this! There must be hundreds or maybe thousands of these old Chevy pickups languishing in fields and lots like this...all about the same, flat tires, a missing headlight, worn out paint, hood ajar. As for the T-Bird, I had a 1966 model...looked cool but was the hardest car on tires I ever owned. It was heavy and leaned a bit much going around corners...you could feel the rubber being scrubbed off the tires.
wow...!!! superb capture..fantastic image...super Bravo..!!!
So interesting!
Very good shot.
Splendid composition and colors my friend
Lol now there are a few classics here!! Maybe why the Pick up is for sale and the Thunderbirds parked up by the ol shack.. Which with those sea view I would be happy with too!!

Superb image! Wonderful Thunderbird and a bit of a restoration project in front!
Either vehicle may be worth more then the house. Getting in the car for a drive and finding shots like this are great!
