Speaking about birds, do ya know which bird is the Michigan state bird? Answer: The mosquito! Excellent shot, the focus is awesome!
LOL at the mosquito joke . I thought of you this morning I was up early, I have a friend coming over early to visit, and I was outside and noticed all the birds out today, and thought about running in to get my camera, but I just stood there and watched and enjoyed them for a while and went back inside... One of these days I will get a good bird capture.. LOL

Oh, how I have sat for hours in my back yard, begging for an opportunity like this with our mocking birds, only to slink off stiff and disappointed and have the little dolls flock to the seat I just vacated! :-) This is by far one of the most delightful songbirds I've ever come across and this is the best portrait I've ever seen of one.
A sharp photo. Excellent

Outstanding!!
A beautiful capture with lovely clarity.
I’m dreaming now of Hally, sweet Hally, sweet Hally; I’m dreaming now of Hally, For the thought of her is one that never dies: She’s sleeping in the valley, the valley, the valley; She’s sleeping in the valley, And the Northern Mockingbird singing where she lies. Listen to the mockingbird, listen to the mockingbird, The mockingbird still singing o'er her grave; Listen to the mockingbird, listen to the mockingbird, Still singing where the weeping willows wave. Another stellar portrait of a gentle avian, Maria!
Wonderful picture!
