Description

I've had this image for quite a while, and I smile every time I look at it. There's just something about a car like this sitting in a cemetery ... makes me think of organized crime ... guys in suits with violin cases ... sunglasses. In reality, this 2006 Chrysler 300 belongs to my friend Martin, who kindly drives me to places I can't get to on my own. (I don't drive on the freeway because of my vision issues.) Let me tell you ... if you need someone to give you a ride somewhere, this is the way to go!! Thanks, Martin! :)

And here's silly me thinking that it was some wordplay with the concept of death and graveyards, nothing to do with the Mob or THAT kind of end. But it's a nice shot and a nice ride!

Believe it or not, I learned to drive in a cemetary. My mother said it was the quietest place to learn to make turns and drive on curves. Not many people to run down in a cemetary.

great comments, and cemeteries probably are good places to learn...It's a really nice combo because the white car is beautiful against the dark greens & it blends with the small stones. A really nice shot no matter where it is. (And I may be wrong, but I think violin-cases went out with Al Capone—but I could be wrong!)

I noticed that everyone is focusing on your description and that is good. You got a lot of great comments from your many wonderful admirers. My take on this is a more poignant view. To me, I see this beautiful Chrysler 300 sitting at the end of the road, figuratively speaking, for the once mighty, all powerful Detroit automobile industry. It makes me sad to see how far the American sense of 'pride of workmanship, made in the USA' work ethic has been eroded in this country. We have sold ourselves out to the low bidder, in this case, China. But to get back to your wonderful photo, I really love it. I agree with all the fine comments you have received previously! It is a truly fabulous photo, very well framed. A stunner for sure! 1,000,000++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
