Description
Dear Friends
I was thinking of all of you in the Northern Hemisphere wrapped in a cold blanket and thought I would try and cheer you up with a happy summer flower from South Africa. We are in the heart of summer and loving every moment of it...
Sorry that I have been rather scarce here on RR. I had a very rough work week and my granddaughter visited this weekend. There is usually not much time for anything else on the weekends she is here! Hopefully things will calm down at work from this coming week on!
Stay safe!
Hugs, Carin xx

Gorgeous shot Carin, beautiful colours.
wonderful flower! Beautiful photo!
Really beautiful!!
Hi Carin, wow cool a fellow South African here at RR. Very nice capture you've done here and the frame work so well with the image. I agree the heat here is really getting somewhat depressing!lol Muis
A delightful macro image Carin, really beautiful and great postwork. I still find it hard to take in fully that I'm 'talking' to people regularly on the other side of the world and they are enjoying summer right NOW! How silly of me!
wow ! thanks for this Meisie. And it sure is cold here : we hade -10°C ! Brrr Nice pic and flower
superb in every respect!
Beautiful. The colors and the detail are super.
Wonderful flower, that will bring some warm thoughts ;) Have a nice start into the new week and thx for caring for us "Northern lights" ;)) hugs
Great composition!!! :)
A beautiful macro Carin, please send some warmth over there! I need a bit of heat
Splendid composition and colors my friend
beautiful warming capture
This sure is lovely Carin. Very well done.
very nice and warm, Carin! thanks for the warm thoughts. I think the birds have it right, migrate south for the winter, or in your case north. so as to stay warm.
Hello Carin ,all the very best to You and Bruce for 2009 :o)..Thanks for the cheer up ,your right it has been bitterly cold here in Uk .Excellent capture Mick
is so beautiful! you capture the summer spirit on it :D
Fabulous capture, love the "yellow stars" and clever with a feathery border.
So beautiful!
Awesome macro, Carin! Great composition!
Excellent capture Carin.
Thanks Carin..., I'll take it. I have to laugh. I think everybody really likes the cold, snow and ice as a change of pace...they just won't admit it. Have a great week. Bill
Gorgeous shot and flower Carin! With another 6" of snow last night this is a welcome sight! Beauty!!!
Lovely colors! Beautiful image.
Excellent capture! :)
Beautiful composition with rich colors!
How pretty this is! Love the colors! It's sweet of you to offer some heat for us, but I love the cold myself. All I miss about summer is the flowers... :)
Stellar soft lighting effects and demure colors in this elegant macro of the zinnia, Carin. Now that I think of it, you have been conspicuously absent from the sacred halls of Renerosity as of late, particularly in re adding comments to my daily postings - hint, hint. I'm back to uploading classic autos.
I’ve never seen such a large center pollen structure on a single flower. Nice macro capture and thanks for sharing some South African sunshine. Dana P
Beautiful picture!
