Description
Kahui Point, Makanalua Peninsula, Molokai, Hawaii. The peninsula is located on the north coast of Molokai and there was a leper colony in Kalaupap, a small community on the peninsula, which was established by King Kamehameha V in 1865. It was closed by the US Government in 1969.
This picture was taken in May 1987 and later scanned.

I just read a most moving book about Molokai and how people were sent there. What a beautiful foto!!
this is just wonderful, a favorite. but then my heart weeps when i think of all the greedy-crap going on just to destroy all those beautiful nature we have ,but just for money ,thats the poor thing,a lot of people have not realised yet,that the last shirt ain't got no pockets! keep up your good work it is worthly.
So lush, so mountainous, so incredible. Seeing it from this vantage point is simply amazing and shows so much more than from ground-level. Stellar.
