Description
Captured 3/8/07 during my 3-mile round-trip along the 300-acres of restored wetlands, located just north of Huntington Beach proper, photographing anything and everything in sight.
The reserve supports waterfowl such as avocets, egrets, plovers, and the endangered least terns, whatever that particular species is.
Top photo is looking south.
Second photo was a long distance shot looking west, sans tripod, showing various waterfowl, not floating as one would expect under these conditions, but apparently standing on some kind of solid strata just below the surface of the water, possibly a sandbar or reef.
Third picture is looking north from whence I began this odyssey into the wetlands. The birds I photographed in the second pic are depicted on the far left in this one.
Fourth shot is when I ventured further south and found things getting curiouser and curiouser.
Sorry again for the relatively poor clarity and resolution in these pics. I've learned much since I shot these in March of 2007.
And thankx for the peek on this partly cloudy Sunday.

Looking good Harry. Again these pics are very descriptive in nature and give me a good feel for the land of the reserve. Nice to see wetlands brought back. Isn't it neat to be able to look back and see improvement in our photography techniques. When we take enough to upload something every day...we certainly improve over time. Bill
Such a beautiful place! I especially like the top shot ... the postwork is so vibrant. Of course they're all wonderful. An excellent presentation!
