Description
The above created in the new Terragen 2 Beta. I used the new Extra tab and changed the pixel filter to 'Cubic B-Spline (soft)'; and, selected the Anti-aliasing bloom with Detail blending set at 0.04375. This helps a lot in distant scenes where the vegetation looks a little more real.
This is my picture number 300 in the gallery.

Excellent desert scenery!!! Congrats Your 300th post and gallery, Bob!!!
Nice stepped terrain. Very well done! ")
Once again your realism gets better and better with each image. I've seen all 300 of those beauts....thanks for the wonderful inspiration!
I'll take your word for it on the Cubic-spline-anti-bloom thingy. Made that whooshing sound as it passed way over my head. Nice earthy-surfaced wilderness scene. (won't repeat Schmeerlap's stone crit here).
You did wonders to this excellent terrain, Bob!! Beautiful work as always.
For those of you that wonder what WeeLaddie is talking about, Schmeerlap made a good criticism regarding the stones in the foreground - I agree with it. However, when I added some displacements to the main terrain, they came up looking like I used the fake stones shader. Less displacement what have made them look smaller.
Congratulations on this fine quality 300th image Chornor, excellent work!!! This feels much like the Archs area in Utah.
Cool terrain!
Very beautiful image...wonderful work.!
Congratulations on your 300th Bob! I like the transistion from darker rock to lighter on this excellent terrain.
Nice render! The terrain shapes look quite realistic as desert formations. Is it a DEM? The vegetation could use more variety, in terms of color and shapes of each plant or tree, but each render I see of yours seems to get closer and closer to being realisticaly believable.
@asetix: Thanks for visiting and your kind comments. Yes, this terrain is from a DEM file. These distant points of view are difficult to blend in a mix of many different varieties of plants due to the small sizes and lack of detail which is due to the distant view - so, I usually choose the predominant ones like sage brush or brittle bush. Here, I probably could have used a more dense population of the brittle bushes.
Congrats, Bob, to your 300. pic !!!!! Wow !!!! Fantastic pic that you created here !!!! If we don't speak the next days, have a Merry Christmas !!!
SUPERB!
