It is amazing when you see what this storms do!!!! It always frightened me. Hugs Ute
WOW interesting warm hug, Linda
Guess that it's terible for people working here… Pending the place being repaired, they have lost their jobs and I suppose that it's not easy to find another one these times. Thanks for sharing this.
Wow - unbelievable. That storm sure did a lot of damage and redefined the beachfront. I have a friend whose house was totally swept away by the storm and the property it was on is no longer viable for building on. Such a shame. Your photo captures the sad reality of what a hurricane can do.
It is sad something happens like this but still the photo is very stunning
It must be terrible to experience a storm like that. We had a storm in the south west of Holland with hundreds of deaths in 53. I saw a fire storm on TV in California, it's also devestating. Great shot Richard!
How sad it is that this building is lost to the storm, but it's good that the dock is still there.
Amazing capture. It's always sad to see the aftermath. Bunny
This picture tells the whole story in one shot. How heartbreaking to see all your work wiped out in one storm. Excellent capture.
Reminds me of NOLA great capture!
OH My! :{ I'm in awe that the slightest breeze has not finished it off! My heart pours out to those that have been effected by the devistation of Hurrican Ike!
Wow. That is really something. You show the power of this storm very effectively with this great photo!
Great shot and documentary, Richard. Scary forces on the loose. Not sure i colud sleep at night if i lived there. PS. Sorry for the late comment. Lost my internet connection on saturday evening. Just got it back. Almost 2 days without internet. First time in 10 years i tried that. #;oD
