Amazing how some things keep on standing, no matter what. Great capture of a time we should remember. Aloha
very sad to see the distruction of this great city, yakchat carol a friend here lost her house in that storm, i still pray things go well for her and the rest of the community. steve / thanks for sharing richard
Good heavens, if this is the one I am thinking of, I always stopped there for trickets to take back to family and friends. I sure hope this isn't the same one that Bongo Joe used to sit in front of and perform. I have a friend who is still living in a hotel there because the insurance companies are fighting over whether her home was destroyed by the wind or the water! Neither company wants to pay up, meanwhile, she is homeless.
The devastation is incomprehensible Richard. It looks like this part only just survived.
It's easy for us to forget that things are not fixed-great shot and a poignant reminder.
Excellent capture..
Great shot Richard, and sad situation for these constructions !!!The wind was with a terrible force !!!

A real reminder of what nature can do to our surroundings and indeed our lives, such devastation for those living there. Terrible to know people are still homeless due to insurance companies arguing. This is an excellent capture Richard, thank you for sharing.
So sad for those whose livelihood is affected. A very informative shot.
Excellent capture of a very sad reality.
what a capture ! For sure this hurricane was powerful ! Stunning ! I'm sure there's no more Alison in Galveston ( OK ! Sorry for the bad joke Mr Strait !)
It's sad to see the destruction by nature, although it's most sad for me to see the destruction by the man!
