Description
Yesterday and today. The FG-1D Corsair and F-18 Super Hornet pictured here provided a challenge this day.
Too much sun, too little sun, too many clouds, not enough clouds. Hopefully this will give you an impression of the Navy's "Heritage Flight" on August 24, 2008 over Kansas City.
See the gull wings on the Corsair? Unique more than 60 years ago and still unique today.
Hope you enjoy the view from up here with the birds :-) Bill

cool image. Like the shade on it. Well done, Rob
That is awesome. Two excellent birds in one photo. I like the angle of this shot.
HoooAhh! Your photos are outstanding and now that you have added the Navy Birds, your site has real quality. CIC/house and I are proud to see the quality that has come from the practice with your new camera. Skipper Broke Wing Fighter Jock, USN
Nice fly-by. I have the same problem with lighting. Clouds dont't help check out my Andrews AFB flights.
you`ve got some cracking shots in gallery :o) mick
An awesome capture! The Corsair is one of my most favorite aircrafts, and the Hornet is a mean looking bird when coming straight on. I love aviation and would love to fly if it were ever made affordable to do so. For now I'll sit on the sidelines and admire such photos of wonderful aircraft such as what you're capturing and posting. I'm also getting as many as possible myself though they are few and far between. Oh, and you're knowledge of aircraft is very refreshing. You made a comment on an image and apologized in a way, for maybe giving too much info. on the aircraft. I find your knowledge very refreshing.
