Description

Becky sat silently, unaware that she was trembling. The telegram still clutched in her hand. Her body felt as though it had been cast of lead. Her mind was numb, and yet there seemed to be the sounds of thunder crackling in the distant recesses of her head. My husband died serving his country it said. For all of our brave men and women serving around the world. Don

Excellent emotional piece. It sent a shiver through me even before I read the dedication and continues to do so as I write. A very haunting piece of work with amazing expression and exquisite lighting. Works like this deserve to find wider circulation.
