Description
Nikon 7900 pocket camera - hand held image.
This was taken at the end of November of last year. I needed a bug or two to fill out this week's series of Beetles.
This Beetle is a pest and destroys many crops and plants. A few are ok but swarms of them are quite a different story.
Thanks to those who take the time to comment.

Great capture...
THIS IS CLOSE ENOUGH FOR ME I'M JUST NOT A BUG PERSON BUT IT IS KINDA PRETTY IN A BUGGY SORT OF WAY GREAT SHOT
Great capture and perfect sharpness of image. Well done.
...das ist aber ein toller Käfer! Aber: wenn der zusammenfrißt würde ich ihn auch wie die Pest hassen! Schönes Foto!
amazing green colour and markings to this "pest", and what a great name for this beetle. The photo is once more of a top quality, I'm sure other members have said before that they are that good you could have them published or exhibited , do you exhibit your photos?
A smart looking creature, like a lot of pests, including human ones. Superb!
A shade lighter in color that the ones in my zone. Excellent capture
Great macro...love the comp.
Lee this is incredible. The fine details and the colors are so easy to look at and get a full picture of this little fellow. Astounding work as usual.
I like the yellow polka dot outfit! Excellent capture! :)
Oh wow, it is a stunning bug! So colourful. Excellent shot and thanks for sharing. :)
Wow Lee this chap is colourful, how did you manage to spot him on the Goldenrod? I must say he does look something like the Lily beetle just a different colour, but I find that with a lot of bugs. They are the same shape and style just different colours. Excellent capture as always, love that name. Bravo!!!!!
Never seen one of those. Very cool color to it. Great capture here!!
This looks like the bus version of the Lady Bug. Excellent capture. Bunny
